Bravelle Fertility Treatment Recall Class Action

On October 23, 2015, Swiss-based Ferring Inc. announced a recall of four lots of its Bravelle fertility treatment drug due to potency questions. Ferring negligently shipped a bad batch of Bravelle from their factory to the public.    In shipping ineffective doses of their product to the public, they cost women and their spouses dearly, both financially and emotionally.  These consumers paid for expensive fertility treatments that were doomed to fail, and women were exposed to unjustified health risks.  Indeed, they may have squandered these women’s last opportunity to get pregnant, causing serious mental and emotional harm to couples who now may be unable to start families of their own.

Health Canada has issued a Recall Alert to health care professionals and will continue to monitor the recall and implement necessary corrective and preventative actions.

We are presently accepting cases from women and couples who paid for treatments involving recalled Bravelle with negative results. If you or a loved one were administered Bravelle as part of your fertility treatment, you may be eligible for compensation for the cost of the treatment, incidental financial losses, and other damages. Because this recall is ongoing, the full extent of legal recourses and the potential for Bravelle lawsuits are not fully known.
