Janelle O’Connor is a member of our Class Action and Sexual Misconduct practice groups. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Saskatchewan (2001) and her law degree at the University of Alberta (2004). She also completed a Certificate in Indigenous Lands, Resources and Government at Osgood Hall Law School in Toronto (2004). In our class action group, Janelle acts exclusively for plaintiffs. Most recently, she was involved in the RCMP gender harassment and sexual assault class action. Janelle also devotes a significant part of her practice to a diverse array of victims seeking compensation for sexual misconduct, both historical and recent, against individual perpetrators and various institutions.
Prior to joining Klein Lawyers, Janelle worked at a prominent insurance defense firm before spending many years working in professional legal education. Janelle is very active in her community and volunteers a significant amount of time at her children’s school. She is also an avid, albeit not necessarily talented, squash player. She is a proud mother of three young children.
