Vanessa Mensink
Vanessa Mensink is a member of our Class Action and Sexual Misconduct practice groups. Vanessa acts exclusively for plaintiffs. She has many years of experience advocating for survivors of sexual and physical abuse. Most recently, she was involved in the RCMP gender and sexual orientation based discrimination and harassment class action.
Vanessa completed her law degree at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. As part of her law program, she was involved with the UBC Innocence Project where she investigated wrongful convictions. Vanessa also completed an internship with a women’s rights organization in Eastern Africa.
Prior to law school, Vanessa obtained an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences with a specialization in Criminology. For several years, she worked as a victim support worker. She helped survivors of sexual and physical violence, both adults and children, navigate the criminal court system.
