We are pleased to advise you that a nationwide settlement has been reached in Canada for Volkswagen and Audi 2.0L TDI (Diesel) vehicles with current and certain former owners and lessees. The settlement was negotiated between Volkswagen and class actions lawyers across Canada representing the owners and lessees, in consultation with the Commissioner of Competition in Canada.

On April 21, 2017, both the Québec and Ontario Courts approved a nationwide settlement agreement to resolve consumer claims in Canada related to the 2.0L diesel emissions matter for approximately 105,000 affected vehicles. On April 26, 2017, the Honourable Mr. Justice Belobaba of the Ontario Court released reasons for granting approval. Justice Belobaba’s decision can be read here.
Starting on April 28, 2017, Canadian settlement class members and U.S. customers with affected 2.0L TDI vehicles that were first sold or leased in Canada may submit claims for benefits under the settlement. If you owned or leased a 3.0- litre TDI (diesel) vehicle
This settlement does not apply to owners or lessees of 3.0-litre TDI (diesel) vehicles. The Class Action may continue on behalf of owners and lessees of certain 3.0- litre TDI (diesel) vehicles. Please contact us for further details.
